Pastor Jake Hess wonders if prayer is like a lone baseball player throwing up the ball and hitting it into an empty outfield. Do we sometimes feel like God is not there to respond to us ... or is God the one "pounding balls into an empty outfield" wanting us to join in the game?

This issue features an update on the work of creating a new worship and song collection for Mennonite Church USA and Mennonite Church Canada. A few photos from our September retreat talent show are included, too.

Hively's youth continue to share international cuisine as they raise funds for their trip to the Mennonite Church youth convention in July. Danny Carroll, guest of Hively and Eighth Street Mennonite Church, retold biblical stories with an emphasis on migration, helping us frame our conversations about immigration in says consistent with Scripture. These and anticipation of our Holy Week services are in the April issue.
